“Whoever serves me must follow me. And where I am, my servant will also be.” John 12:26. I’ve had this all wrong. I have been walking along through my life, expecting Jesus to be with me, anticipate where I’m going and stop me if I might do something stupid. That wherever I go, he goes. No, that’s not how it works. I'm to follow him. Wherever I go, he’s already ahead of me. He’s already there, waiting for me to catch up. I'm not leading the way; he is. If it’s something stupid, he’s already there, waiting to lead me through the traps and land mines. I don’t have to worry or be afraid. I just have to make sure I’m following him, that I keep my eyes on him.

I love your comment about Jesus already being where we are headed…EVEN INTO OUR OWN STUPIDITY! Since he is already there he has already worked out the plan to help us. We need only to follow him. ❤️ PTL for that!
