Isaiah 48:10-11 Behold, I have refined you, but not as silver, I have tried you in the furnace of affliction. For my own sake, for my own sake, I do it, for how should my name be profaned? My glory I will not give to another.

The reason I quoted that verse is because it came to me that maybe all our affliction is actually a course in learning problem solving skills, skills that we will need in the next life. Affliction and how we solve it or deal with it depends on how we rely on God, clean our hearts of self. That’s how to solve the problem of affliction. We must rid our hearts of self and let God show us how to make it through whatever the problem is.
